Deuce

Hi, first post on this site. Set up on new Red Sea Max yesterday and within three hours this (see pic below) appeared. It has remained there constantly (ie doesn't come in or out at different times of the day). We nudged it very gently with a tiny piece of LR and it hardly shrank back at all. Is it the dreaded aiptasia or something else?
Thanks in advance for your help!

Could be an Aiptasia = Pest Anemone and not good!
Don't try and remove this yourself, the best think to do is get yourself a peppermint shrimp and they will happily eat them up.
I hope this helps.

Hi Mate,
Aiptasia, Joes Juice is a good cure, lemon juice or hot water injected into it is also supposed to be a good fix.
Peppermint shrimps are not always the aiptasia predator they are made out to be, also quite a few LFS sell camel back shrimps as peppermint shrimps, these are not reef friendly and can do more harm than good.
Failing the above, I have found milliputting it into its hole always works.
Cheers

As Gary says, but act quickly as they can reproduce very rapidly, and check for others.
