I have found a starfish in my reef i wanna know if it is safe or not.....the closest pic i have found to it is pretty accurate actually





does it stay or does it go ????

Look a bit like Asternia. I've got loads in my 30gal. I haven't seen them doing any damage to my corals so I've just left them in. I'm sure there are two types though, harmless and predatory.

Ive heard that too - I think if theryre harmless youll find them grazing on the glass, rock etc but if theyre predatory you'll find them on your corals - so judge as to whether to keep them or not based on where you find them. Not sure how else to tell the good ones from the bad ones apart Im afraid.

Whever i find one in my tank, if I can get to it its out.
